Wow… What did you use to achieve that kind of loudness - saturation or distortion?

soft clipping on the master, mostly. also some saturation and ott on the individual channels helps too. so does automation of the clipper input volume to make the drops hit harder
The drums and bass create a cool cybernetic vibe. Together with that guitar, it reminded me of the OST from the game Unreal
I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the review!
A bit quiet, but amazing
Yeah, i gotta fix that about a lot of my previous stuff
Thank you :]
This lead with portamento sounds is the Roland SH-101? I used to love this instrument in Squarepusher's music.
it's not hardware at all :) it's just two sunvox sawtooths stacked in octaves with portamento, vibrato, and some saturation. but all this could conceivably be done with the sh-101
and yes, i love that synth too. ty!
Yes, it's French House. It's cool, but I would just change the bass sound to something like in Daft Punk - Voyager
It could work, but the sample is a bit exentric for Voyager's tone, I feel.
I also moved from Famitracker to FL Studio
I use them both, I composes this one in Fami, and mixed it a bit in FL, I didn't MAKE it in fl LOL
amazing
thanks! :)
In the late '90s, I wanted to buy a Roland XP-80, but I chose the Yamaha QS-300 instead. I'm not sure if I made the right decision
I think both are probably great at certain sounds. I think the QS-300 has some amazing pad sounds.
It has a 2-step vibe + guitar and that (atmospheric vocal - similar to M83)

Loud and with transients. Very good mastering and composition.
thanks! and about the mastering, considering almost all of the segments in this were unfinished and unmastered i tried my best to give the mix consistent mastering
